SOFTEC’s Mission focuses on providing the skills you need to operate CATERPILLAR heavy equipment safely and effectively in a fraction of the time of most courses. Utilizing the cutting-edge virtual reality platform that mirrors the actual machinery controls and job site situations, you will learn technique, Industry process and site awareness, that provides detailed feedback to help you progress. From start to finish, this 5–6-week Industry Certified training timeline provides the “Opportunity of Hope”, and real opportunity awaits.

Ask about financial assistance through the Workforce Innovation Opportunity Act (WIOA) program. Train Skills Management, LLC is a WI Licensed Private School since 2022. Contact your local NWCEP Office. Vocational Rehab, Native American Vocational Rehab Director (VRNA), local Workforce Resource Office as well as Food Share (FSET) assistance. Possible Employer Sponsorship and scholarship opportunities may be available as well. Our contracted Training provider, Train Skills Management, LLC is WIOA Credentialed (please be sure to search the DWD ETPL list for Train Skills Management, LLC) as it is not listed under SOFTEC. This is a service provided by SOFTEC to fulfill its Mission. Participation with these collaborative partners is essential.

CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) Training is provided by our collaborating partners at St. Croix Valley Truck Driving School, located in St. Croix, WI. SOFTEC’s Training provider, Train Skills Management, LLC is currently contracting this service through the St. Croix Valley Truck Driving School, located in St. Croix, WI through a collaborative training program. As of November 2023, CDL Training opportunities are available!

SOFTEC has added Solidworks and Single Board data acquisition computers
(Arduino) software development. Welcome to SOFTEC’s first Technician Training class focused on the Medical Device R&D sector.
This 6month course of 2 days per week, will provide a SolidWorks Certificate upon successful passing of the final testing. This course also provides a direct pathway into the medical device sector by providing hands-on learning provided by an Industry Business owner and former executive in the medical device industry. Bill “Billy” O’Neill is SOFTEC’s newest Board member in 2024. Billy is working with Janine McNulty, employed by the St. Croix Tribal Nation to provide this unique program in collaboration with SOFTEC.

SOLAR tECH TRAINING new in 2023!
This is an industry certified training provided by our collaborating partners at mrea (midwest renewable Energy Association with certified instructors. A proctored test, will follow the 40+hour classroom study with an 8 hour hands on
lab constructing a fully operational solar array during the course. This is an intensive course that is achievable by all. attendance is required as any absences will disqualify the testing for certication process.

SOFTEC’s curriculum focuses on the skills you need and prepare you for the skilled trade entrance testing. For our Heavy Equipment Operator Training, you will learn on a virtual reality platform that mirrors actual machinery controls, providing Industry Benchmarked skillsets to compare each trainee’s skillsets with detailed feedback to help you progress. Three days of training on the simulator, equal 1 month of operational training in the field. The transition is seamless!
