Students learn SolidWorks 3D CAD modelling of parts and assemblies

Students Learn

  • Sketch techniques

  • Part design (extrude, revolves, sweeps)

  • Dimensions and drawings

  • Mating components in assemblies

  • Reference geometry

  • Students will design parts for a robot

  • 3D print parts

  • Students must complete three hours of assignments per week

Solidworks associate certification

Employers want to see Solidworks Certifications because they know what you can do. The exam is three hours

Benefits for students

Entry level draftspersons create designs based on input from engineers or supervisors. They model parts and create drawings so that prototypes can be machined or 3D printed.

Students will have provable basic skills for entry level drafting jobs. Entry level jobs on Indeed are paying $16-$22 per hour
